How it Started
Our Story
We have been married for over 7 years now and have three wonderful kids.
In 2023, we made a big move from Washington State to sunny Florida to start a new chapter and build our dreams. While we anticipated some challenges, the journey has been tougher than we imagined. Starting up a new business has been slow, and it's opened our eyes to the struggles that so many hardworking families face every day.
We've seen firsthand how people are working harder than ever, yet feeling the strain of financial insecurity. It's heartbreaking to see families doing their best and still struggling to make ends meet. This realization ignited a spark in us to create the One Penny Project as a sort of social experiment to see if people would take a second to go out of their way to give a stranger just one penny.
We believe that even the smallest act of kindness can lead to big changes. With the One Penny Project, our mission is to bring hope and support to families like ours, who are doing everything they can but need a little extra help.
